China Porcelains

My sudden interest in China Porcelains kicked-in when I’ve started cooking..coz since I always had the habit of snapping pictures of the meal I prepared..I did purchase a few presentable looking plates and Soup bowls just for photography purpose…

So last week when Hubby and I went to Glen Waverly to get some Asian/Malaysian grocery, I managed to get 2 pretty China Porcelains bowls (typical designed small ones) and also one Claypot (just nice to cook for both of us).. Hubby wanted me to buy the Claypot so I can try cooking Claypot Chicken Rice..lol…we shall see about that…

Anyways, so when I surf the net to get more info on these Chinaware’s, they are quite fascinating …now I’m thinking of having them as a collections…

Anyways today's Dinner : Curry Mee

LINCRAFT

Coming back to my mini project… I wanted to get some ideas on how to get it done.. so I went to this place called Lincraft just about 10 mins walk from my office.. this place has all sort of ideas on crafts... From tailoring to beading jewelleries to making your own painting to creating a scrap/ journal… everything… pretty interesting you know.. check this out : http://lincraft.cart.net.au/

And I was thinking of doing some gardening over the weekend… since its towards the end of winter,I think it is the best time to start gardening.. Might wanna start off with Coriander & Spring Onions (it’s a must!!) and maybe some nice Tulips or Lavender..not sure yet..moreover our lawn is quite small..I’ve never done gardening before in my entire life..once I loved this Daisy plant I saw at some nursery while my dad was purchasing a few plants for his garden, so I bought the Daisy plant.. that was the only thing I did, the rest was taken care by my dad…that much I knew about gardening…but again, its better late than never..;)
Anyways, coming back to my gardening story, I might visit Bunnings this weekend to get some tools to prune the unkempt grass , pots for my salad plant (would prefer a 2 tier-ed pot) and some soil as well..

Our dinner was simple today :Grilled Peri-Peri Chicken

Freaky Friday

Yeah my Friday morning didn’t start off that well..it was a hectic day for us in SAP that we were all inundated with work.. All I could think off now are :
- where is the nearest post office to my office to post my Tax Return File 2010
- what shall I cook tonight since there is a defrosted chicken breast in my fridge
- where should we go over the weekend
- should I go to the temple tomorrow in the morning or evening
- should I bake over the weekend or tonight
- and Hubby is going out tonight to meet his friend in the city,so what shall I do to kill my time..
Finnaly,i came up with this Carrot & Walnut Cake and its was yummy...:)

Weekend Bustle..

It’s another Thursday, leaving to work like it’s the end of the world and the waiting fervently for weekend. At work, the only thing I can think of is what shall we do on Fri night and of course what to do or where to go over the weekend..

Yes people, yours truly here think it’s a waste to be at home doing nothing but eat, TV and sleep on a weekend. Weekend is the only time you do all the enjoyable stuff or go somewhere to explore places or adapt an activity you would take pleasure in or at least have a hobby or do something inventive like crafting, tailoring/designing your clothes/shawls, gardening outside your house, doing your own photo journal, or buy a canvas and do some painting on it…at least you get something done out of a weekend…remember, life is short ;)

Anyways below are the meals I’d prepared for darling Hubby this week.. These pics below are not the only food I’ve cooked…its just that i don’t post pictures of the meals that I’ve already posted before..or else, you guys will get bored looking at the same food over and over again..:P

Fried Egg Sambal

Tofu Podimas

Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with Fish Fingers & Chips

BrownBrothers's Orange Muscat & Flora Wine

Snow ???

Got up fairly late for a Sunday and were all geared up for our 1st snow experience..yes every1, hubby promised that he will take me to Mt Donna Buang..it is the nearest place from Melbourne (about 100km away) which has snow..so I was all prepared my winter clothes, gloves, tripod & SLR…

We hit the road at 10.00am and it was a very picturesque drive up and once we reached the peak, the entry gate was closed due to the snow and we have to use another route to the other entrance of Lthe mountain… And we really didn’t know how long the other supposed route might take, so we just headed back home with all disappointments..maybe will try to go to Lake Mountain sometime next month if there is snow…or else will wait for next year winter..

Came back home and had Nandos for Lunch, watched FRIENDS season 7 for a while and guess what..I dozed off on hubby’s lap..and seeing me soundly asleep, he woke me up and we both went to our room to have our afternoon nap..what a way to spend the Sunday away.. Anyways, we skipped our dinner as we were still feeling stuffed with our heavy lunch..

So I just prepared Chicken Dumplings and BrownBrothers’s Orange Muscat & Flora wine…it was ecstatically sweet.. And the we continued watching FRIENDS until 11pm and off to lala land…

Nite nite Leveryone and Monday bluezzz
